Tinderbox 4.0 is here

Mark has been hard at work on delivering 100 new features and improvements in Version 4.

But we are still waiting for Tinderbox for Windows.

Mark Says....

One reason we’ve been slow is that we want to get the ENGINEERING right — for exactly the reason Wallact Tait suggests.

Tinderbox is a new and unusual system; it’s not just like anything else. We won’t get everything exactly right on Windows the first time out. We want to be sure that the engineering under the hood is sound, so we can quickly file off the rough edges that interfere with Windows users getting real work done with Tinderbox and the rest of their favorite tools.

Tinderbox 3.0 is here

Tinderbox 3.0 was released on 10 Nov 2005.

Tinderbox 3.0 features a fast new parser for streamlining rules, actions, and templates, making it faster and more powerful than ever. The new parsers lay the foundation for Flint, a terrific new Web template assistant that's coming soon, and clear the way for Tinderbox for Windows.

Tinderwin is coming, Tinderwin is coming, Tinderwin is coming.....

Tinderbox 2.5 is here

Tinderbox 2.5 was released today.

Now that's out of the way maybe Tinderwin will be along soon!

Are Windows Users Stupid?

"Which brings me to the question of Windows.

I am very far from convinced that porting Tinderbox to Windows is going to be a winner. The sort of mindset you need to get the best out of Tinderbox is the sort of mindset that tends to use UNIX-based systems [Sweeping Generalisation #1]. I cannot see most – or even very many – Windows users getting to grips with Tinderbox."
