Anti-Spam Annoyances

I have just tried to put a comment onto Andy Roberts blog and got this annoying message about "Typing the anti-spam message". What bloody anti-spam message!

Hom many people are being denied commenting rights by badly designed, badly implemented anti-spam technologies.

So if Andy is reading this post : I have just invited you to be an author on Grumpy Old People.

That's if the invitation hasn't been consumed by an anti-spam technology!

I don't want Andy Roberts here. He can't even decide if he wants to use "blog" or "blogue" in his page title. The guy is indecisive. Do you want this guy holding the scalpel as you go under anesthesia on the operating table? No? Then why would you want him running roughshod over your blog?

Er, I mean, "blogue." Oh, he sounds sounds simply cosmopolitan.

P.S. I find this blog offensive because it denies me my God Given Right to edit my contributions after I have posted them, thus making me look like a complete dunderhead when I type "sounds sounds" even though I am a Julliard trained writer. This simply Will Not Stand.

Well there I was getting really grumpy about nobody ever commenting on my blog these days, and now I know why. Somebody at the Lab has introduced a new anti-spam measure without even asking anybody if they want it, and resulted in breaking a whole series of people's blogs. Why do they do it? It was working perfectly well before, somone tried to fix it, and now it's broke. Arggghhh!

So the first I get to know about this unsolicited invitation is by reading about it on young Frankie Roberto's blog, which he seems to think is funny.

And Jake - just for that I'm going to accept it.

Ah, the infamy of anonymity... who is that cack handed "Somebody at the Lab". OK hands up. it's me... Sooorryy... got so excited about blocking spam on my blog I hadn't realised I stopped all comments... as the Chris McEvoy says 'badly implemented'. Or in this case just downright incompetence. can I be grumpy about myself?

Blogue is what you get when you cross blog with brogue. Think of it as a sort of shoe with dimples, into which you can post comments.
