Baby Blaine Spoon Stunt Failure
Gaby "Baby Blaine" McEvoy has failed in his latest attempt to balance a spoon on the top of a yoghurt pot.
Twenty month old Gabriel had managed to lay the green plastic spoon on the top of the peach and mango "thick and creamy" yoghurt with the practised dexterity of a young Uri Geller.
All went well for the first twenty seconds before the self styled "high chair magician" gave into his animal urges and used his right index finger to pierce the foil with a rapier like movement that was too fast for the many onlookers to see properly.
After using the green spoon to eat the yoghurt in less than a minute, the youngster turned the pot upside down and slammed the tainted spoon onto the bottom of the now empty pot in an attempt to rescue the stunt attempt, but the attendant referees said that this deliberate eating of the props could not be overlooked and called a halt to the spectacle.
Baby Blaine responded by saying "it's been over a minute since I finished my tea of pasta and I needed to eat something sweet to satisfy my appetite".
Gabriel's previous stunts include hiding in a dark, liquid filled sac for nine months and sitting in a tepid bath for over seventeen minutes without peeing in it.

Happy New Year - Usability Caption Competition
Gabriel, Chris (and Heather) McEvoy wish you all a fantastic new year and Gabriel thought it might be a good idea to see if anyone can come up with a good caption for this photo of me and Gabriel (he's the cute 18 month old baby on the left).

There may even be a prize for the best usability related caption.

Love For Cats
(Hoping that the professionals and experts never take over the web)
We are John-Joe and Luke McEvoy. We have created this website for our love of all animals and especially cats!
From Love For Cats
It's got a midi version of Rage Against The Machine, bubbles float up from the mouse pointer and I think it's fantastic. It's got more heart than Nathan Barley and all the spoof ad sites put together. It reminds me of a cross between Mahir's I Kiss You site and Fatmouse.
When I was their age I was programming in BASIC on my ZX81, but now I write code that writes websites instead.
I hope that kids are encouraged to create their own web sites and become an integral part of the web community.
Note: John-Joe and Luke are my nephews and they created their site with no help or advice from me, although I hope that they embrace web standards and visit the CSS Zen Garden to get some inspiration for their next project.
PS: I was responsible for this attempt at political satire, which included my six month old son in his first online political act.

Pre-Speech Solidarity
Only two weeks old and Gabriel has already perfected the clenched fist salute.

Now I just need to get that local anarchist young pioneers group started.

Backward Compatibility?
A system is backward compatible if it is compatible with earlier versions of itself, or sometimes other earlier systems, particularly systems it intends to supplant. That is, other systems or objects that interoperate with the old version of the system should continue to interoperate with the new version.
